My Story
I'm Meelie, a junior doctor who was a medical student at The University of Sheffield. I had a bike in Sheffield since I started university, but it just sat outside my house getting rusty. I was scared of the hills and cars but wanted to start cycling as I am keen to reduce my impact on the environment. My dad converted my old hybrid bike into an e-bike and I started getting used to the commutes to placement. I fell in love with cycling, and now feeling much more confident on the roads (+ I now cycle motor free!). I am not a particularly sporty person and I wanted to show that you don't have to be an athlete to commute to placement by bike - anyone can do it! I want others to experience the joy of cycling and being outside, while reducing the use of cars!
